Gift ideas for Flower Girl!?

4/4/2020

We get asked a lot what can I get my flower girl as a gift and we been also asking our brides this question. When it comes to a gift there are no shortage of options and most of the time we find it overwhelming to shop due to limitless possibilities. Key is to keep few things in mind that will help you to eliminate your selection.
Their age and interest? Your budget? How much time it will take (if you can purchase locally or not)? Do you want to get something that they will use as a part of the wedding and keep sake or more something that  they would like and use multiple times or spend time and have experience together?
Once you answer this you will be able to narrow your search and start shopping.
Here is a list of few ideas that we gathered:
  1. Activity book filled with games puzzles and coloring. This sets usually includes book with fun tips on how to be the best flower girl ever :), crayons and certificate of excellence! You can find them on Amazon.
  2. Head band and sash set that she can wear at the wedding and get lot’s of use after. Tip: if her dress is white or ivory the set can be matching color of your wedding/bridesmaids!
  3. Mini Tote – can be personalized! Tip: you can fill it with items that you know she will like.
  4. Getting ready robe, she will feel included in the party and perfect for getting ready pictures.
  5. Letter board – give her opportunity to craft her own messages.
  6. Magnetic building blocks! For example you can find on Amazon Tegu set of magnetic wooden building sets designed for fun anytime and anywhere.
  7. In case she is a little artist – consider non-toxic beeswax crayons that are specifically designed for little hands like Honeystick!  Or crayons – that spell flower girl. Tip: you can pair it with coloring books and help them to stay entertained and occupied. If you having kids at the wedding this can be something you give to little ones to play with at the reception.
  8. If you have a toddler and or very young one in your party – nap mat so they don’t skip on their nap time! Tip: one can be locally custom made with your choice of colors or you can buy one. Consider getting the one with built-in pillow and cuddly blanket!
  9. Head piece that she would wear at the wedding and use after.  Tip: Hand made pin and or bow!  You can place it in a customized box for her to unwrap!
  10. You can have girls outing together.  You can do something at home or go out! Could be a dress up party, craft project tame, tee party or take them with you to get your nails done and enjoy girls’ time! Tip: you can call salon in advance and see if they have a pedicure chair for younger ones and some places do and it will make her enjoy her experience even more!
  11. Inscribed hencarchef with poem, names and date for your flower girl as a gift and for her to keep and use at her wedding for something old.
Her Name
Today you are young,
But the years will pass by
And you’ll soon be a bride
In the blink of an eye.
So here is something
For the day you will say
I need something old
For my wedding day.
We love you
Names and date of your wedding.

       12. In the end if you feel you can not decide you can always offer to pay for her dress or part of it!
Interesting fact we have worked with brides who had their grandmother as a flower girl! Think outside of the box,  do what you want  - it is your wedding and remember to have fun planning!
If you have something you would like to add to this list and or share your experience please comment at the bottom we would love to hear from you!
